Oh Me, Oh My....

Oh Me, Oh My.....how did I make it thru this past week I will never know. I have been so busy with the holidays, home remodel, and my poor momma being in the hospital that I'm probably a little half crazy right now.  I'm very Thankful for the answered prayers my mom received this week.  And that the good Lord allowed me to be with her as much as possible considering the craziness surrounding me at this point.  So here's how my week started.

Last week was Thanksgiving.  I ate way too much, but whats new about that???  Had Dinner at my moms with my dads side of the family.  Its one of my favorite holidays, I get to see some of my favorite people, whom I don't see very often.

My Youngest Nephew Payton

My oldest Nephew Justin Dale, never too old to get kisses from his Aunt!

My cousin Stephanies lil girl Maddie.

I was very successful on Black Friday this year.  Got a lot of great deals but overall got to spend 20 hours with 2 of my best friends.  After 20 hours of shopping, we needed a break.....yummmm to Olive Garden!

Saturday night Kris and I met up with some of our Coal Family for dinner at El Bracero.  I just love these women!  and their hubby's too!

Sunday my Dad & I started painting the main living space in my home.  My mom has been awaiting back surgery and has been in a lot of pain in the last few months.  She really can't do much, so she hung out on my couch all day.  Dad & I painted while Kris grilled for everyone.  This is where the ciaos begins.

Nasty carpet & walls.  100% Proof - 11 years of wear and tear of 2 boys.

See all my paint swatches....hehe....I looked at these for about 6 weeks before I could make up my mind.  I would ask Kris "which one do you prefer"?  He would say "they all look alike".........thanks hubs!  Oh, the 90 brass lights are OUT OF HERE!!!!

One coat on, it's called Bee's Wax by Sherwin Williams.  I think I like!!!!!

My dad working so hard!  Thanks Dad!!!

My dad says I change paint like I change cloths.... but not really.  We've been in our house for 11 years and most rooms have been painted 3-4 times.  But not this room!  And this is why.  It takes more than an 8' ladder to reach the top of this wall.  I've had the same color for 11 years and I'm sick of poo poo brown, tan, whatever..........Anyway....we were in major need of a paint job and the carpet man has been calling.  I think he's probably tired of holding my carpet for 6 months.  But with Lane's knee surgery, we have just been behind.

After our painting spree ended my mom and dad had a little wreck in the wheel chair going out my back door.  And we ended up at the ER 4 hours later :(  My mom was in a lot of back pain and my dad hurt his knee during the fall.  I felt so bad for them, especially after dad helping me paint all day.  They admitted my mom and the next morning her vitals were not good.  She had slow heart rate and blood flow, dehydration, phenomena, kidney failure, and her white blood count was too high.  So after 4 days and nights of seeing specialist, she is finally back to normal and got to come home Thursday night.  Its amazing what prayer does, all is good, and her back surgery is still scheduled for the 10th as long as her general Dr clears her this week.

Day 4, feeling much better!

A little fun with my nephew Payton while waiting around at the hospital.

Going Home!!!

Thank you to all our family & friends who called, send messages & cards, or came by to see my mom.  It really lifted her spirits.  She was really homesick on her last day, I'm so thankful her health is back in good shape and she's at home resting where she's a tad bit happier.

And since I had nothing to do all week, I thought I would stay up til 1:am working on orders that I was behind one.  OK, I'm not complaining, cause I love doing them.  I'm just wondering where I found the energy.  Here's some of my new Christmas Ornaments.

And that's my week!  Now to start a new one.  I'm working my fun job at The Depot this morning and then heading off to Madisonville for the Christmas Parade.  Kris has to meet his fellow workers and pass out candy for the coal company he works for.  Have I ever mention that he hates Christmas Parades. lol  But I love them!!! Have a good weekend!
